To make things as smooth as possible, please close all doors and keep your pet in one room so they can be easily located when we arrive. This helps avoid any delays and makes sure your pet is calm and ready for their check-up.

Before we arrive

Prepare a safe exam area
Having a suitable space ready for your pet’s examination is very helpful. A sturdy table, bench, or another safe surface where our vet can comfortably check your pet is ideal. If your pet is large or unable to be lifted, a quiet, open floor space works perfectly too.

Other pets and young children
Sometimes, having new people in the home can be exciting or even a little stressful. To avoid pets slipping out the door or becoming unsettled, please keep other pets in a separate room or safely outside during the visit. If you have young children, letting them know what to expect and involving them in gentle ways (like giving treats afterwards) can make the visit a positive experience for the whole family.

When to expect us
We’ll give you an approximate arrival time for your appointment. Because each home consultation is different, this may vary by up to 30 minutes either side. To keep things simple, we’ll always give you a call when we’re on our way so you know when to expect us.

Payment made easy
Our team carries an EFTPOS machine, making payment quick and secure at the end of your appointment. We also accept payment via credit card over the phone or electronic transfer if that’s easier for you.
