Little Learner Puppy Program
Give your puppy the best possible start in life with our vet-led Little Learner Puppy Program - a four-week course designed to build confident, calm, and well-adjusted adult dogs.
This is more than a basic obedience class. Our program focuses on helping puppies feel safe in the world around them, strengthening the bond between you and your puppy, and laying the foundations for lifelong emotional wellbeing.
Why Confidence & Resilience Matter
The first few months of your puppy’s life shape how they respond to new experiences, environments, and challenges. Positive early exposure helps prevent fear-based behaviours later in life.
Our program gently introduces puppies to a wide range of everyday sights, sounds, surfaces, and situations in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. We focus on helping puppies:
- Recover quickly from new or unexpected experiences
- Build positive associations with novelty
- Develop calm coping skills
- Feel secure with their owner as their “safe base”
Confident puppies grow into easier vet patients, calmer companions, and more adaptable adult dogs.
What Your Puppy Will Experience
Throughout the four-week course, puppies are gradually exposed to age-appropriate challenges, including:
Sounds & Sensory Experiences
- Gentle introduction to music and environmental noises
- Controlled exposure to common household and clinic sounds
- Building calm recovery and confident responses to surprises
New Sights & Environments
- Exploring different surfaces and textures
- Navigating obstacle courses, ramps, and platforms
- Exposure to everyday items, movement, and unfamiliar visuals
Handling & Vet Preparation
- Teaching calm, cooperative handling of ears, paws, and mouth
- Positive exposure to veterinary equipment
- Mock consult experiences to build confidence for future visits
Final Week - Real World Experiences
- Exploring ramps, ball pits, hanging objects, and unusual surfaces
- Practising sit and drop in busy, noisy environments
- Strengthening confidence, focus, and connection with owners
- Celebrating graduation and ticking off skills learned throughout the course
All activities are carefully managed to avoid overwhelm. Puppies are never forced to participate — we use positive, choice-based learning methods that build genuine confidence.
Foundation Skills Included
While confidence is our primary focus, we also introduce essential life skills:
- Sit
- Down
- Settle on a mat
- Crate confidence
- Calm focus around distractions
- Positive lead skills
Our goal is not just compliance, but teaching puppies how to regulate themselves and feel safe in a variety of environments.
Strengthening the Puppy-Owner Bond
A confident puppy starts with a confident owner. Throughout the program, we guide you on:
- Reading your puppy’s body language
- Supporting them through new experiences
- Reinforcing calm behaviour
- Building trust and communication
You’ll leave with practical tools you can continue using at home.

- Special introductory price: $120
- Suitable for puppies aged 8-16 weeks
- Small class sizes to ensure individual support
