Dr. Chris Munchenberg

Dr. Chris Munchenberg

Practice Owner/Veterinarian

Dr Chris Munchenberg is the owner of Pets Health Veterinary Practices and the head veterinarian at the facilities. Chris graduated from Murdoch University, Perth, in 1988 before returning to Adelaide to serve the local pet community. When not at work, Chris spends time with his own pets - 2 Labradors, 2 French Bulldogs (the smallest thinks she’s a Labrador), a Great Dane Mix, 4 cats - and his wife Julie and their 3 daughters.

Alex

Dr. Alex

Dr. Alex

Veterinarian

Dr Alex is another amazing veterinarian providing care at the O’Halloran Hill Vet Centre. She’s South East born and bred! Alex grew up on a farm near a small country town. After working for a few years in a mixed animal practice, she moved back to the big smoke. Alex loves surgery and enjoys the variety of being a GP. She’s s kept busy with her chocolate Labrador, Charlie (who mostly knows the difference between what is edible and what isn’t) and is the proud aunt to Sierra, a German Shepherd (who is scared of his own shadow). Alex’s passions include Harry Potter, cross stitch, playing netball, kayaking and getting outdoors. She loves watching football, both SAAFL and AFL and she is a mad Adelaide Crows supporter; if the game is on, you know where Alex will be!

Rachael

Dr. Rachael

Dr. Rachael

Veterinarian

Dr Rachael is a wealth of knowledge. Born and graduated in New Zealand, Rachel worked in the UK for 22 years before moving to Adelaide (where her husband is originally from). Having achieved her certificate in Homeopathy for pets, Rachel loves to incorporate a natural approach with modern veterinary medicine. Her special interests include dentistry, acupuncture, and feline and rabbit medicine. In her spare time, Rachel loves spending time with her husband and two children. You will often find her enjoying many outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing.

Karen

Dr. Katie

Dr. Katie

Veterinarian

Known for her ever-changing fun scrubs, love of anime, and soft spot for every oodle that trots through our doors, Dr Katie brings colour, warmth, and plenty of laughter to the clinic. With over 12 years of veterinary experience - including time in a specialist clinic - she brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. While she loved the challenge of specialist work, Katie missed the relationships you build in general practice, and now enjoys seeing pets grow up alongside their families.

She has a special interest in rehabilitation and a passion for helping pets move comfortably and feel their best. With her quick wit, kind heart, and love of a good pun, Dr Katie has quickly won over both our patients and their people.

Karen

Dr. Karen

Veterinarian

Dr Karen is one of the skilled veterinarians at the Hilton location. Born in England (yep! She’s a Pom!), Karen moved to Adelaide in 2014 with her husband and 2 children. According to Karen’s mum, when Karen was 11 years old, she suddenly announced she was going to be a vet. She did it and has been one for over 20 years now. Karen loves the variety of her job, with her passion being surgery and ultrasonography. Keeping her busy is her Alaskan Malamute Slugsy. Being brought up with motorbikes, Karen got her licence when she turned 30. She loves the feeling of freedom riding the bike brings.

Alison

Dr. Jocelyn

Dr. Jocelyn

Veterinarian

Dr Jocelyn is the newest vet to join our team, bringing a bubbly personality and an insatiable curiosity for all things veterinary. After graduating from the University of Adelaide at the end of 2024, she’s excited to dive into life in small animal practice.

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Jocelyn loves building trusting relationships with clients from all walks of life. Her compassion and empathy - shaped by caring for her beloved blind dog for over a decade - shine through in the attentive care she gives every patient.

When she’s not studying the latest journal articles or being mentored by our senior vets (while quickly finding her own feet), you’ll find her sketching in her notebook. As a proud dog mum of two back home in Hong Kong, she’s no stranger to wagging tails and wet noses - and can’t wait to meet yours!

Alison

She doesn’t give up easily! She has a Labrador mix called Harper and a domestic long-haired cat named Bumblebee. Hannah

Hannah

Hannah

Cert IV Vet Nurse / Nurse Coordinator

SA born and raised, Hannah always knew she wanted a career working with animals. Pets make Hannah happy, and in return, she wants to help make a difference in the lives of the patients she meets. Her passion for building trust with clients, and her patience in providing comfort to worried pets, make Hannah the perfect inpatient nurse. She is the hand for your pets to hold when you can’t be there.

At home, Hannah’s fur family includes Ruby the Boxer (a clumsy, stubborn, crazy lap dog) and Oliver, a domestic short-haired (the unpredictable one - there’s one in every family!) In her downtime, Hannah loves gardening, playing soccer and spending time with her partner, friends and family.

Jemma

Jemma

Cert IV Vet Nurse

Born and raised in South Australia, Jemma’s passion for animals started at a young age. Growing up on an acreage with horses, donkeys, cows, dogs, and rabbits, a career in veterinary nursing was a natural progression. Volunteering in South Africa, Jemma’s passion for helping animals grew tenfold. Upon returning home, she immediately started her journey to become a veterinary nurse.

Jemma joined our team in 2021. Learning all areas of nursing, Jemma is passionate about companion animals and is committed to treating all pets like her own.

At home, Jemma enjoys the company of her Labrador, Evie, who is her best friend. Jemma enjoys going on hike adventures and exploring new nature walks with Evie by her side.

Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, Sandi started her animal care journey volunteering at the Adelaide Zoo and RSPCA Lonsdale Shelter. Sandi’s passion for animal care led her to study animal studies focusing on wildlife and companion animals and then completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Upon completion of her studies, Sandi started her career in the animal industry and joined our team in 2021.

Sandi spends her spare time exploring different walking trails with her Chihuahua Chewy and enjoying leisure time at home with Cookie, a domestic short hair, and her beloved partner Daniel.

Megan

Hailey

Hailey

Cert IV Vet Nurse

Hailey’s love of animals has shaped her journey through the world of veterinary science. After completing a Bachelor of Animal Science at the University of Adelaide and her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE SA, she’s continued to build her skills by undertaking a Veterinary Technology program at the University of Adelaide. Before joining our team, she worked at Petbarn, where she built her communication and customer service skills and even ran puppy preschool and adult beginner training classes.

Her calm, gentle nature makes her a reassuring presence for both pets and their people, and she especially enjoys spending time in consults helping clients feel comfortable and cared for. Hailey is always eager to learn new things and is particularly interested in developing her skills in anaesthesia, medical nursing, and consultations - bringing warmth and kindness to every shift.

Megan

Megan

Cert IV Vet Nurse

Adelaide born and bred, and always a southern girl, Megan started her journey by being a wildlife volunteer. Quickly realising her dream, she began studying for her nursing certificate. Through work experience at O’Halloran Hill, she ‘Wowed’ the team so much that she was offered a nursing position. Megan’s passion for outpatient nursing developed from her love of helping patients and developing bonds with her clients. She aspires to study in the field of compassion nursing. The biggest nerd of the team, Megan’s obsessions include Supernatural, Batman, Star Wars (original trilogy) and Harry Potter (if there’s a collectable, she will buy it!).
